In New York City, the east side of Manhattan, excluding East Village, is pretty much a dead zone for gay men at night. There isn’t any gay bars there, if so they cum and go so quickly because so many gays live on the west side in Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen and The Village and in the surrounding areas by those hot spots.
The scene on the East Side (Midtown and Upper) consist of straight- single and married men, bisexual men and closeted men and very few gay men. I’m no expert and I could be wrong but I digress. For those men and the gays who love them, let me introduce you to Xpressions Adult DVD.
This adult bookstore is located smack dab in the middle of restaurants, office buildings and even next to an apartment building. The perfect spot for nooners, sex in the afternoon. The office guys who aren’t out or who are open to exploring their sexual appetite; they cum to this place in buckets to get off. It’s convenient since many of these men cannot take a man home with them due to their living situations whether it be wife and kids or roommates who don’t know that they’re gay or bi.
I visited this place and the options of men were slim to none. I’ve read about this place on Squirt.org and had to check it out. The booths are perfect for getting/giving head. The downstairs “movie theatre” consist of 3 private booths and several chairs in front of a large flat screen tv with gay porn playing.
The action is very limiting in the booths so my suggestion is to buddy up with someone and head downstairs where you can really enjoy yourselves. Many men are voyeurs and just like to watch guys go at it so lower your expectations when go so in order to not get disappointed.
I give this place 2 cumshots out of 5 because of the gloryholes, and the open space in the basement. It loses stars for being a hit or miss of getting in some action. Small window of peak time afternoons during the weekdays and after work 5pm to 6:30pm. The return on investment is small so make it count; don’t be bashful. Travel lightly no place to check your bags or personal belongings.
Cruising Recommendation: If you live on the East Side or plan on traveling there, I recommend putting a message on Squirt.org for the day and time that you will be there in order to increase your odds of getting your money’s worth in the basement. Or post a message on Craigslist for Men Seeking Men or Casual Encounters. It’s a great spot to go to after the bars have closed at 4am and you still feel the need to get off. Very quiet street at that time and no fear of running into someone you may know in the neighborhood; perfect for you DL (down low) fellas.
Cruising Tip: Make sure you bring cash to feed the booth otherwise pay the $15 dollars once you see a guy that you want to hookup with WITHOUT any interruptions.
Overall, it’s not a bad spot, it just needs more patrons. The place is right across the street from the subway lines E, M, and 6 line; very easy to get to. I recommend getting off at 42nd Times Square and either walking to the M line on 6th Avenue right under Bryant Park, E line on 8th avenue or the S train to Grand Central Terminal for the 6 train.
