The Dark Side of Gramercy/Flatiron: Gramercy Duplex – UPDATED 1/26/2015

Gramercy is a relatively quiet neighborhood in New York City. It’s a far cry from the bustling lively streets in Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea. Located in the Midtown East 20’s, this a very residential and low-key neighborhood. With at being said, Gramercy Duplex is a discreet penthouse play party that host varies events for various types of men and brings out the nasty pig in men.

Host(s):The host(s) vary depending on the event much like Paddles in that sense. They have a website http://www.gayguysglobal.net/ If you click under NYC Parties, you will see the list of parties available. Simply follow the instructions on how to sign up or receive an invite for upcoming parties.

You can also request an invite to the Parties through Adam4Adam and Barebackrt, GreekRam or wherever you see Gramercy duplex or Midtown East duplex.
Address: 30 Lexington Avenue, between 23rd and 24th Street. Midtown East west 20s by the Flatiron building. Close to the 6 train and NR trains. Path and FM trains aren’t too close by and followed by the 1 train. Footsteps away from Baruch College.

Setup: Located on the top floor of the building NO ELEVATOR. The bi-level space is quite nice. When you enter into the foyer there’s a bathroom around the corner on your right. A room where you check your clothes on your left. A small kitchen adjacent from the coat check room and looking forward is the high ceiling open area with 3 huge backless couches or oversize ottomans and spiraling staircase on your left leading up to the second level landing.

On the second level is an open area with black curtains strategically placed to split up the room and create small many areas to in a maze-like way. Further ways in the back is another bathroom.  There’s a pillar on your left close by the stairs that use be used as a closet but provide a divider of the space. Between the closet pillar and exposed brick wall is the passageway to the bathroom and there’s always a small table with packets of lube and magnum condoms, the most I’ve ever seen at a sex party.

Clientele: From the themes below, you can tell that this place caters to many various types of men. So this is not the place to come if you only want to be with hot fit guys. This place definitely has a mix. Some events are more gear towards certain men and there will be others that are not to your liking but simply say no thanks and keep it moving. Be patience because a guy that you’re really into just make walk in the door when you’re thinking about leaving.

Here are a few of the events, some of which I’ve review on this blog:

Testosterone – Held on Friday nights from 9pm-3am and select Fridays a naked wrestling theme, NYC Naked Wrestlers.

Executive Lunch – held every Thursday afternoon from 12pm-3pm. $20

Gotham Bears – held every Sunday from 1pm-6pm

More parties are being added to cater to different guys schedule so that everyone can get a chance to visit and get off.

Raw Brazilian Expo – Held every Sunday from 5pm-12am $25 Bareback Party

*Some events overlap each other on certain nights

It’s an attitude-free environment so don’t attend if you plan to be standoff, picky and/or judgmental.

This place has been around for quite some time and it’s taking me awhile to figure how to promote or review it; hence the delay. Nonetheless, I want to give you guys another option especially if you don’t feel like trekking to the west side of town all the time for something gay. Now you have something close by if you live on the east side.
