Late Night Cruising NYC Year in Review: 2014

Every year here on LateNightCruisingNYC, I do a look back at events and parties that made 2014 remarkable. There was a serious uptick in events and activities this year that reminded me as to why New York City is the best place to live and visit. Some changes were good while others had sadly ended. So let’s take a look back at 2014

Top Ten Most Viewed Post of 2014

1. Gay Cruising Guide for International and Out Of Town Guys – I don’t see this post ever being dethroned

2. Dark Side of Steamrooms and Saunas: Gay Cruising at New York Sports Club (NYSC), David Burton and Equinox – This post has moved up from 3 to 2. This post opened the eyes of men and cruising at the gym and why so many men have gym memberships. (Surprisingly, Dark Side of Steamrooms and Saunas 2 doesn’t have nearly as much viewership. I guess nothing is better than the original.) lol

3. Gay Underground Sex Parties: CumUnion NYC – This parties still gets a lot views and I can see it gaining more with more guys being opened to group sex and rise in sex parties in New York City.

4. Gay Underground Sex Parties: The Orgy Guy – The Best Gay Sex Party in Midtown – The host Scott is a great guy and supported this blog by feature it in his blog and the viewership skyrocketed afterwards and I really appreciate it. He’s one of the few that knows that I write this blog.

5. Gay Cruising Spot: Bijou Cinema – This post is a personal favorite of mine because I feel I had uncovered a hidden gem that many guys weren’t aware of that still exist in New York City. There’s not many adult cinemas in New York City anymore for men. If you’re tired of the bookstores and worrying about getting kicked out then you should definitely check out this place as well as Les Hommes Bookshop on the Upper West Side.


6. Gay Cruising Spot: The Always Every Weekend After Party – Encore at Paddles NYC – I like to think I had some impacted on raising the awareness of this event and introducing guys to After Hours parties. An after hours parties are any events that stay open later after the bars have closed.

7. Gay Cruising Spot: The Dark Side of Midtown East & Upper East Side – Xpressions Adult DVD – This post made a tremendous leap up into the top ten. It’s no surprising why there’s isn’t many places to go on the east side for gay sex. I will be curious to see how well it holds its spot in the new year. I will work on going to more adult bookstores but it’s really not my thing; however, I can’t deny you guys the options

8. Gay Cruising Spot: Rainbow House Playground/Omega/Northern Studio – Astoria/Long Island City, Queens – This is the ONLY post of 2014 that made the top ten list. You guys love this post and I do as well especially due to the fact that it got such nasty reviews from guys on Squirt.org. I checked out the place and I love the setup it was great. I would say it’s still tough to get manhattanites to come to Queens for sex.

9. Gay Cruising Night (Wednesday): Jockstrap Wednesdays at The Eagle NYC – The MOST popular event that’s not a sex party but you can still have sex. The security has deterred many guys but locals still cum here to get off on Wednesday for dirt cheap. Just $3 dollar for clothes check and whatever you spend on alcohol and that’s it. *Special tips* the new spot is in the back smoke area ouside of the bar and the stairwell in the back. You’re welcome

10. Gay Cruising Spot: The Dark Side of Chelsea – The Eagle – You guys love the Eagle and why not the places has a great setup and it’s a dirty destination for scruff, rough, nasty and horny men. It’s THEE place to go to see men and not boys.

These Venues/Events Came To An End This Year

1. The Black Party @ Roseland Ballroom – the event has been held at this venue for many years and will have a new home in 2015, where I don’t know but I am dying to find out. We shall find next month when tickets go on sale after Valentine’s Day.
2. Secret Lounge – an urban (black and latino) bar in Chelsea that closed it’s doors for good and have an event Dirty Sunday that moved to Escuelita in Midtown West by Port Authority. 
3. Nasty Tuesday @ G Lounge – this was my favorite event on a Tuesday since there isn’t much going on a Tuesday night. It had live porn stars performing on stage. it was awesome, the crowd not so much
