Gay Cruising Night (Friday): Berlin at Providence

Brandon Voss returns to Providence nightclub for Berlin theme event. A tri-level dance club with a little bit of filth.

Location: 311 W. 57th Street btwn 8th and 9th avenue

Admission: FREE before Midnight/$10 After

Setup: The main dance floor offers two bars, one on the ground floor and one on the balcony. Along the top floor is a passageway through to the darkroom bar area where there’s a DJ booth and a roped-off section for the go-go boy/COCKYBOYS performers. In the basement is another bar area and dance floor.

When I attended the party it was more like NYC Hell’s Kitchen than Berlin. Most guys were dancing and zero-to-no action in the darkroom except for the go-go boys dancing in glow-in-the-dark paint with words like CUNT, FAG, BOTTOM, COCK, SPERM etc.

I had fun, I danced, I drank, I left early. I will try it again when the weather warms up.
